Sparkles and Rainbow Unicorn Card

Sparkles and Rainbow Unicorn Card

Sparkles and Rainbow Unicorn Card

Our Granddaughter Madysen just turned 4!

The theme for her birthday party was Unicorns and Rainbows.

I had seen an idea on Pinterest a while ago by Jennifer McGuire Ink and saved it because it just reminded me of my sweet Madysen.

Then, the invite came with the party theme, and I knew I had to make my version of the card.

A lot of the items used to create this card are retired Stampin’ Up! products.

It’s a good thing I keep some of the retired products in my stash!

The unicorn’s ears were cut out or Rose Glimmer Paper using my Big Shot and Pyramid Pals Dies.

The flowers and leaves were punched out of Rainbow Glimmer paper (current!) using retired daisy and leaf punches.  The glimmer brads in the center are also retired.

The horn was cut free-hand out of a piece of current Silver Glimmer paper, and then I added the stripes using a black Sharpie Pen.

The eyelashes were drawn on also using the Sharpie.

The stamp set is long-ago retired Sweet Serendipity and was stamped using Memento Black ink.

This stamp set is so old that the stamps are mounted on wood blocks.

It’s been a while since I’ve stamped using wooden blocks, and I had a hard time getting the words straight.

Ooops!  Tried it a few times, and then decided it was good enough!

I then inked up the sprinkles stamp found in the retired set Tasteful Textures using Frosty White Shimmer paint.

I matted the card front to a piece of Rainbow Glimmer Paper, then attached it to Basic Black card front.

I hope Miss Madysen likes her special card.

I had fun making it for her!
