Split Card Textures Dies For You Card

Split Card Textures Dies

Paired with Meadow Die and Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper for a touch of Spring!

Have you noticed the Split Card Textures Dies found in the Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog?

They are one of those items that can be easily missed.

But are a fun addition to your card-making arsenol!

Create a unique peek-through effect on your handmade cards with these dies. Create your card base, then add one of these die-cut elements to one corner for an attention-grabbing, dimensional look they’ll love. Or tuck something—a gift card, a certificate, or another fun element— behind the die-cut corner piece and watch the recipient delight in discovering their hidden treasure.

You can see another one of my cards created using this die set HERE

Here’s How:

  1. Die-cut a piece of 3 3/4″ x 5″ Basic Black card stock using a die-cut machine and the flower die from Split Textures Dies.
  2. Adhere piece to one of the bright designs found in Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper measuring 4″ x 5 1/2″ using Adhesive Foam strips along the edges to pop it up.
  3. Attach to Basic White card base.
  4. Die-cut flowers out of Daffodil Delight and Flirty Flamingo card stock using Meadow Die.
  5. Attach flowers to card front using Mini Dimensionals to pop them up.
  6. Stamp greeting (retired Wrapped Bouquet) on scrap piece of Basic White card stock using Memento Black ink.  Die-cut using the tag from Meadow Dies.  Attach to Basic Black mat, trimming the top edges to match the tag.
  7. Attach to card front using a Mini Dimensional to pop it up.
  8. Tie a bow out of black and white Baker’s Twine and attach using a Glue Dot.
  9. Add dots to the centers of the flowers to complete.
