Welcome to the Nacho Average Design Team’s blog hop for April. This month, we are celebrating birthdays!
For my projects, I am featuring the stamp set Build a Birthday.
For my first project, I created a Cascading Card using Build a Birthday for the candles and Party with Cake for the greeting. It also features It’s My Party Designer Series Paper and Washi Tape.
The Cascading Card technique is fairly simple to do. (Click HERE for directions). The key is to measure, cut and score as accurately as possible.
I created the background for my second project using Color Me Irresistible Designer Series Paper. I simply sponged on Black Archival ink making the design on the DSP pop. I stamped the candles and flames on scrap pieces of Whisper White card stock and cut out using a pair of scissors. They were then popped up on the background using Dimensionals.
For my third project, I created a birthday cake using It’s My Party Washi Tape. I stamped the cake pedestal from Build a Birthday using Black Archival ink, then added the Washi Tape.
Easy, Easy.

I love all the cards, but that cascading card–wow!!!
Great cards, Anne. I especially love the cake card using wash tape. I am partial to black for some reason, so I also like what you did with the Color Me Irresistible DSP-even for a Happy card.
Super cute cards, Anne!! I love the candles! I really need to make a cascading one again…
That cascade card is amazing, but I think my favorite is the second one with the bright candles on the black background–just looks amazing! Great job!
