Welcome back to the Nacho Average Design Team weekly challenges. We took a break for the summer, but are now back with a new blog site and some new members of the Design Team. We hope you will enjoy our creations, find some inspiration and participate in the challenges with us!
So, let’s get started with a sketch challenge. Here’s my contribution:
I started out with a strip of Silver Glimmer Paper measuring 12″ x 1/2″. I cut it into varying lengths. Using a sponge dauber, I added color from various ink pads to the shimmer paper. The candle flames are the “wing” from the Bird Builder punch run through the Big Shot using the Houndstooth Embossing Folder. This card really sparkles in person!
Here’s the original sketch:
Supplies Used:
Stamp Set: Itty Bitty Banners
Ink: Coastal Cabana, Strawberry Slush, Summer Starfruit,
Gumball Green, Crisp Cantaloupe, Raspberry Ripple
Paper: Coastal Cabana, Baked Brown Sugar, So Saffron, Whisper White,
Silver Glimmer cut into ½” x 12” strips
Accessories: Big Shot, Bitty Banners Framelits, Houndstooth
Embossing Folder, Bird Builder punch, Dimensionals, sponge daubers
