I really like this week’s challenge over at One Layer Wednesday.
The challenge was to get inspiration from this Pinterest Board. There were so many beautiful ideas, but I was immediately drawn to this one.
I really like the color combination of craft and red, but for whatever reason, I pulled out a sheet of Sahara Sand instead. I was working from memory, so it wasn’t until I went back to look at the inspiration piece that I realized the color was different. I also like the different designs on the hearts, and I almost added hearts punched out of scrap designer series paper. But, this is a one layer challenge so I stuck with just stamping the hearts. Another day, another project…
This challenge also gave me the opportunity to try my new heart paper-piercing template. I use my paper-piercing tool for almost every project, but hadn’t yet opened the pack of templates. This was a fun and easy challenge, and I was able to try out some new product!
Supplies Used:
Stamp Sets: Punch Potpourri, Faith in Nature
Ink: Raspberry Ripple
Paper: Sahara Sand
Accessories: Paper Piercing Tool, Essentials Paper-Piercing Pack, Baker’s Twine, Mini Glue Dots

I love this…especially because you used sahara sand instead. Never would have thought of the substitution, but it looks amazing with the raspberry. What wonderful texture you achieved with choice of stamps and piercing!

Those are great text hearts with their paper-pierced outlines!
