Week 75 and we have a sketch challenge over at the Nacho Average site!
Here’s my contribution:
For this card, I used the tried and true Split Negative Technique.
I simply stamped the Pleasant Poppies background stamp onto my piece of Basic Black card base using Versamark ink. I heat embossed the entire image using white embossing powder. I stamped the image again on a piece of Whisper White card stock using Versamark ink and heat embossed it using black embossing powder. Then, I simply cut the Whisper White piece down and lined it up with the images on the Basic Black. Easy, easy! Be sure to swipe your Embossing Buddy over the card stock before stamping and embossing.
I originally thought I’d color in the center poppies using Cherry Cobbler and Wild Wasabi markers, but I really like the clean and simple black and white.
Here’s the original sketch:
Supplies Used:
Stamp Set: Pleasant Poppies
Ink: Versamark
Paper: Basic Black, Whisper White
Accessories: heat tool, black and white embossing powders, Embossing Buddy

Great card, lots of work. I do think that coloring them would have worked beautifully as well.
