April Caring by Card
Over the past month, I’ve shared cards featuring watercolor and upcycled paper towel backgrounds, and I created each of them to send through the Caring by Card network for April. This wonderful organization connects cardmakers with residents in nursing homes and rehabilitation facilities, sending handmade cards along with messages of kindness and encouragement.
For the past several months, I’ve enjoyed creating postcards specifically for Caring by Card. I often reach for my retired Stampin’ Up! products, which gives me a chance to use what I already have while creating with purpose. Postcards work especially well because they require fewer layers than traditional cards, allowing me to fit more into a single shipping envelope.
If you find yourself with an overflow of handmade cards, consider sharing them through a program like this—you’ll clear out your stash while brightening someone’s day.

A mix of current and retired products was used:
Stamp Sets: Aspen Grove, Coneflower Celebrations, Simply Zinnia, Pocketful of Sunshine, Sending Love, and Sending Smiles.
Accessories: Mini Alphabet and Light and Wonder Dies
